Artists at Hudson Beach
Hudson Beach glass artists, left to right: John Gilvey, Wendy Gilvey, Michael Benzer and Jennifer Smith

Hudson Beach Glass provides a beautiful example of excellence in both design and craft. The artists at Hudson Beach hand cast glass using ancient processes to make functional and sculptural objects. They apply simple but surprising designs to their bowls, serving platters, trays, perfumes bottles, jars, soap dishes, candle stands and sculptural centerpieces. Their works are available in eleven transparent and two opaque colors with a Beach (sandblasted) or Jewel (shiny) finish.

TRIPLEX SET

Hudson Beach Glass utilizes two types of finishes: "Beach" is a sandblasted finish, seen at right, imparting a soft appealing beachglass look to the finished piece.

Sunset Sushi Set

The"Jewel" finish on Hudson Beach Glass's works, seen at right, is shiny and imparts a crisp feel to the finished piece.

Their studio is located in an old ice house in the

Hudson Valley of New York state. Hudson Beach
